How can history help?
Understanding where we come from, the struggles that we’ve fought, and the collective achievements we’ve made throughout history as a civilization gives us a deeper appreciation for the human experience. It motivates us to use historical knowledge to counter extremist and authoritarian ideology in our own time.  More often than not, the motivation behind political action in the sagas is an ingrained love of justice and personal liberty. We believe the sagas are carriers of important philosophical reflections on society, politics and interpersonal relationships that may still provide valuable perspectives in the modern era.
